Founded by Remi Marcoux in 1976 and headquartered in Montréal, Canada, Transcontinental, Inc. (TCLAF) produces print and digital media, flexible packaging, and publishing services.
It operates through four segments: (1) Packaging, (2) Retail Services, (3)Printing, and (4) Other.
Three key data points gauge TCLAF or any dividend paying entity, namely:
(1) Price
(2) Dividends
(3) Returns
Those keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.
TCLAF Price
Trancontinentai’s price increased from $12.15 to $14.21 this past year per Thursday’s market price. No analysts cover the stock to set a one year target.
Historically, however,TCLAF shareprice grew at a $0.38 average increase per year over the past 13 years.
But price grew by $3.06 last year. Splitting the difference to $1.72 puts a target price at $15.99.
TCLAF Dividends
Trancontinentai has paid variable quarterly dividendssince January, 1993.
It has paid dividends totaling $1.18 for 2025.
However its forward looking dividend is $0.64 for 2026.
TCLAF Returns
Putting it all together, a hypothetical $2.36 estimated gross gain per share shows up when adding TCLAF’s annual $0.64 dividend to the history-tempered estimate of $1.72 annual price gain.
A little under $1000 invested at Thursday’s $14.21 share price would buy 70 shares which, multiply the $2.36 estimated gross gain to $166.08 for the coming year.
About 27% of that $166 gain comes from an annual dividend of $45.00.
And that $45 dividend is over 3 times greater than Transcontinental’s $14.21 single share price.
(The dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a stock that pay an annual dividend from $1000 invested that is greater than the cost of a single share.)
Three is more than one.
Therefore, you may choose to pounce on TCLAF and its dividend payout of over three times its share price.
The exact track of TCLAF’s future share price and dividends will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.
Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
