Founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Qingdao, China, Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd (HSHCY) engages in the research, development, production, and sales of smart home appliances.

One of the largest household appliance manufacturers globally, Haier generates around 50% of sales outside China.

As of December 2024, Haier Group and its subsidiaries are the largest shareholders of Haier Smart Home with around 29% equity interest in aggregate.

Three key data points gauge Haier or any dividend paying entity, namely:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those keys also show if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

HSHCY Price

Haier’s price fell about 19% over the past year from $14.64 to $11.90 as of Friday’s closing price.

HSHCY Dividends

Haier Smart Home has paid variable annual dividends since September, 2022.

The current forward looking annual dividend of $0.45 yields 3.78% per Friday’s $11.90 closing price.

HSHCY Returns

Putting it all together, a $1.55 estimated gross gain per share shows up when adding Haier’s annual $0.45 dividend to an estimated $1.10 analyst estimated annual price gain, totaling that $1.55 gross gain.

A little under $1000 invested at the recent $11.90 price would buy 84 shares which, multiplies the $1.55 gross gain to $130.20.

Furthermore almost 25% of that $130.00 gain comes from the $37.80 in dividends generated from a $1,000 investment, and the $37.80 amounts to over 3 times the recent $11.90 single-share price.

(A dividend dogcatcher rule is to never buy a stock that pays a dividend from $1000 invested that is lower than the cost of a single share.)

Therefore, you may choose to pounce on Haier Smart Home and its 3.78% dividend yield along with its 3 year dividend record.

The exact track of HSHCY’s future prices and dividends will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
