Current Report: Rithm Capital

Founded on September 26, 2011, and headquartered in New York, NY, Rithm Capital Corp. (RITM) is a real estate investment trust providing real estate, credit, and financial services.
It operates through five segments: (1) Origination and Servicing, (2) Investment Portfolio, (3) Residential Transitional Lending, (4) Asset Management, and (5) Corporate.
Three key data points gauge RITM or any dividend-paying entity, namely:
(1) Price
(2) Dividends
(3) Returns
Those keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.
RITM Price
Rithm Capital’s single share price increased 20.2% from $9.50 to $11.42 last year, per Wednesday’s market price.
Eight analysts cover the stock and set a one-year target price target up $2.56 to $14.00.
Historically, however, the RITM share price showed an average annual gain of $0.87 over 3 years.
I split the difference to get a $1.71 annual gain.
RITM Dividends
Rithm Capital has paid variable quarterly dividends since July 2013.
It paid a $0.25 Quarterly dividend totaling $1.00 for 2025.
So, $1.00 is RITM’s forward-looking dividend amount for 2026.
RITM Returns
Putting it all together, a hypothetical $2.71 estimated gross gain per share shows up when adding RITM’s annual $1.00 dividend to the history-tempered analyst estimate of a $1.71 annual price gain.
A little under $1000 invested at Wednesday’s $11.44 share price would buy 87 shares which, multiply the $2.71 estimated gross gain to $236.89 for the coming year.
About 36.9% of that $237 gain comes from an annual dividend payout of $87.40.
And that $87.40 dividend from $1k invested is over 7.6 x greater than Rithm Capital’s $11.44 single share price.
(The dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a stock that pay an annual dividend from $1000 invested that is greater than the cost of a single share.)
7.6 is more than 1.
Therefore, you may choose to pounce on RITM and its annual dividend payout of about 7.6 times its single share price.
The exact track of Rithm Capital’s future share price and dividends will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.
Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
