Founded by Shuichi Amano on November 3, 1931, and based in Yokohama, Japan, Amano Corp (AMANF) manufactures and distributes time information, environmental, and other industrial systems.

The company operates through two segments:
(1) Time Information Systems and
(2) Environmental-Related Systems.

Three key data points gauge Amano, or any dividend-paying entity, namely:

  1. Price

  2. Dividends

  3. Returns

These factors indicate whether a company has made money, is making money, and is likely to make money in the future.

AMANF Price

Amano’s single-share price was unchanged at $25.12 last year, per Friday’s market close.

No analysts currently cover the stock to provide one-year price targets.

However, Amano’s three-year price gain totals $6.17, averaging $2.06 per year.

AMANF Dividends

AMANF has paid variable semiannual dividends since June 1987. However, the September 2025 dividend went unpaid, so no forward-looking annual dividend amount can be projected for 2026.

AMANF Returns

Putting it all together, no gross gain per share can be calculated because no forward dividend is available to support a predictable price gain.

An investment of a little over $1,000 at Friday’s $25.12 share price would purchase 40 shares, which could multiply any future gross gain into a meaningful upside over the coming year.

A percentage-based return could be calculated from an annual dividend payout—if one were available.

Additionally, any dividend generated from a $1,000 investment could be compared to AMANF’s $25.12 single-share price.

(The dividend dogcatcher rule is to buy only stocks where $1,000 invested generates annual dividend income greater than the cost of one share.)

Under this rule, AMANF cannot be considered, as no dividend appears to be forthcoming.

The future path of Amano’s share price and dividends will be determined entirely by market forces and company financial performance.

Remember, the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
