Banned Diamonds

We can no longer buy Russian diamonds at Tiffany's because they are banned. 

Sir Jeremy Fleming, head of MI5, a UK spy agency, argues that Vladimir Putin was not only misinformed before the invasion of Ukraine about local opposition, but that he is still not getting reports on how bad the situation is in the target regions of the country: Mariupol, Donbas, Chernihiv, and of course Kyiv. *BMO rates Cameco outperform with a $42 target price, despite its lower EPS at 5 cents vs 9 last year. CCJ opened up 6.02% today but now is only up 5.87%.

*Orbia (Mexichem) hit $5.02, up 18.1%. It now trades only by appointment here. MXCHY.

*The big negative ratings included NIO, down 2.52%; Biolinerx down 3%; and Tomra Systems down 2.5%. TMRAY.

Outlook

*The price of gold is up .31%. One reason for this is that the Fed funds rate is lower than the consumer price index. US consumer spending was only 0.2% in Feb. GLD.

*Bausch & Lomb is doing an IPO of its eye health products. BHC.
