ZAIS Group Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZAIS) provides investment advisory and asset management services to private funds, separately managed accounts structured vehicles. Much of the excitement in the stock today has had much to do with the meeting with Yellen this afternoon to determine what the financial outlook holds for the US. shares of ZAIS climbed as high as $5.18 during the early afternoon.

PhotoMedex Inc. (Nasdaq: PHMD) has been the focus of many investors after it was announced that its consumer products business would be acquired by ICTV Brands, Inc. Shares of PPMH traded higher on Tuesday after hitting $3.15 in early morning trading. The stock has since trimmed gains during the afternoon as it is trading just shy of $2.50 as of 1:30 PM EST.

Zosano Pharma Corporation (Nasdaq: ZSAN) has been on the rise this week. The company announced on Monday that its lead product candidate M207 achieved both primary endpoints of pain freedom and most bothersome symptom freedom at 2 hours in the recently completed ZOTRIP trial. On Monday the stock saw highs of $2.72 before closing the session at $1.70. On Tuesday, the stock rose once again and hit intra-day highs of $2.15.

Platinum Pari-Mutuel Holdings (OTCMKTS: PPMH) has been climbing ever since late January. On Tuesday the company announced that it has that it has accepted a tendered offer from South American Gold Corp. (OTC PINK: SAGD) for the acquisition of PotCircles, a cannabis social media network currently in development by PPMH’s tech incubator subsidiary, GreatDay Inc. Since January the stock as climbed from roughly $0.11 to as high as $0.30 on Monday. Tuesday’s session has opened up a possible pull-back in the stock as attention continues to build around this company.
