The market has settled down and squared up positions into the always highly anticipated FOMC decision event risk. Heading into the decision, the overwhelming consensus expectation is that the Fed will leaves rates unchanged, with 0% chance for a rate cut and a very small 13% chance for a rate hike.

Why don't you think the #coronavirus is having more of a negative impact? Sounds like the number of those infected are increasing at an alarming rate, and just surpassed SARS.

Hi Bruce - It's not that we don't think the coronavirus is having a negative impact. It's more that we don't believe the negative impact will be to the extent that it demands a reaction from monetary policy. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for reaching out.
