Heading into the decision, the overwhelming consensus expectation is that the Fed will leaves rates unchanged, with 0% chance for a rate cut and a very small 13% chance for a rate hike.

Why don't you think the #coronavirus is having more of a negative impact? Sounds like the number of those infected are increasing at an alarming rate, and just surpassed SARS.

Hi Bruce - It's not that we don't think the coronavirus is having a negative impact. It's more that we don't believe the negative impact will be to the extent that it demands a reaction from monetary policy. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for reaching out.
