Admittedly, it is only a sentiment indicator, but one has to wonder what the market and economy can do if people turn optimistic after two years of nothing.

“Davidson” submits:

After ~30mos of deep pessimism the manufacturing PMI registers its 2nd consecutive positive at 50.3. The IndPro has been elevated and continues to be so the entire period the manufacturing PMI was pessimistic. We should expect to see greater interest in industrials going forward as the PMI continues to rise.
