Although it shows a 10/25 publication date, I fully anticipate it will be sooner. Once it is delivered to you, I would much appreciate your verified review (“verified” means you actually purchased it) before we promote the book (at a higher price) to the broader public. You can download a free Kindle reader to your mobile phone or computer. The soft-cover print version also will be available for order once the book has formally launched, but for pre-order, Amazon only permits eBook format. But if you’d rather not wait for the Kindle version release, shoot me a note after you make the pre-order purchase and I will forward you a PDF version of the book for your reading pleasure.

David has written a number of other books through the years. In this one, he describes his path from NASA engineer on the Apollo 11 moon landing project to building quant models for stock rankings. But the book’s main goal is to share David’s approach to creating stock portfolios for four key investing styles—Growth, Value, Dividend, and Small Cap Growth—which serve as the underlying strategies for Sabrient’s Baker’s Dozen, Forward Looking Value, Dividend, and Small Cap Growth professional portfolios.

Here are some editorial reviews from prominent investment experts:

Ben Fulton, ETF pioneer, former global head of ETFs at Invesco, and current ETF Consultant to sponsors:
“I love the book and the way it combines the intelligence of a NASA scientist with the intuitive approach of solid investment advice. Extremely easy read on the way we should all approach the complexities of the stock market. Thank you, David, for providing a blueprint for maximizing investment opportunities while managing risk.”

Tobin Smith, financial news media personality, best-selling author, founding member of InvestorPlace.com, and founder/ editor of Transformity Research:
“Investors of all experience levels can learn something new from this concise, reader-friendly book. I highly recommend it!”

Scott Appleby, investment banker, founder of Appleby Capital, and former Wall Street Internet analyst:
“I really like how this book is written. Clean, to the point, but also familial. What it accomplishes is what other must-read investment books do, i.e., it demystifies investing while providing the framework to pursue ideas on your own. Importantly, it can give younger readers the confidence to begin their investing journey early.”

Scott Roberts, former Chairman and CEO of Ziegler Capital:
“This book was sorely needed! Investors would be better served by following a systematic approach like this rather than random stock picks. David covers all the bases in explaining many important investment concepts in an easy-to-follow way.”

The book also reveals how readers can access the next generation of our “Sabrient Scorecard for Stocks,” which provides a weekly Top 30 stocks list for each of those four key investing strategies (using their underlying quant models) and displays each stock’s scores for nine of our proprietary alpha factors (i.e., our “secret sauce”)—including our well-known Earnings Quality Rank (EQR). You can also paste your own list of tickers on the Score Your Own Stocks tab to monitor their alpha-factor scores. And as a bonus, we provide a “Sabrient Scorecard for ETFs,” which displays the Top 30 ETFs based on our proprietary Outlook Score plus two other proprietary alpha factors. It also provides access to our full universe of roughly 1,400 equity ETFs.

Both scorecards are quite user friendly and allow you to sort, weight the alpha factors, and re-rank the lists based on your personal preferences.

You can find more information about David’s book, as well as the new Sabrient Scorecards subscription product, through this link:
