How inflation has changed over the past 10 years

The latest consumer price index (CPI) for all items is currently at 2.7%.

Inflation is in the headlines and we can see how multiple categories contribute to the inflation consumers are experiencing. The most volatile inflation producer is energy, followed by food.

In 2022, inflation was approaching 10% with a high of 9.1% in June 2022.
