Asia Markets Mostly Higher - Driven By FDA Vaccine Approval

Asia markets closed mostly higher. TOPIX stood by around plus 1% while the Hang Seng Index is up by 2.4%. The SSE closed with plus 1.07% and heading towards the higher median bracket high on the monthly. The Japanese TOPIX still trades with contraction, hence traders leaning on the extremes of that balanced price range. The rally was established after the FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. Investors turn their attention to the Jackson Hole Symposium later in the week – to get updates regards tapering, eased by the slowdown in the US private sector growth to an 8-month low in August.
