We have to be unemotional when investing. We can't “hate” or “love” a company for some arbitrary reason as both emotions lead to bad results. We have to try and remain numb and see each for what it is.
For some perspective, SPY has more in assets than the GDP of Finland. Of course, Finland has been around a long time; SPY only dates back to 1993. Shareholders also like SPY’s expense ratio which is just 0.0945%.
The US stock market for the week ending on June 19, had weekly gains for all major stock indexes. The US retail sales number was the biggest positive economic surprise for the week, beating expectations and signaling improving economic conditions.

The economic calendar is more important than usual. There is an emphasis on housing data as well as reports on leading indicators, industrial production, and regional Fed surveys. The most important story will be the Fed’s Wednesday rate decision.

Chesapeake Energy and WildHorse Resource Development today jointly announced that Chesapeake has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WildHorse.
Typically, summer spells an increase for natural gas prices as the heat results in more need for cooling systems such as air conditioners, and more demand for gas. US natural gas production is now at an all-time high, offsetting the seasonal effect.
