Marius Angara brings over 20 years of financial and international business experience from the Wall Street community. Mr. Angara began his career as a stockbroker on Wall Street in New York City. He entered into the trade execution side of the business shortly thereafter at Waterhouse Securities (Toronto Dominion Bank) on the overnight desk. This was followed by a brief period at Schwab Capital Markets (Meyer & Schweitzer) on the agency trading desk and at Prebon Yamane (Prebon Tullet) on the derivatives and options desk where his team took positions on the Mexican Peso. In 1998, he joined the Internet based investment bank Wit Capital (UBS Capital Markets) where he was a trading supervisor at the height of the dot.com era. In 1999, Mr. Angara was recruited by the JP Morgan Private Bank and was part of a team that was responsible for their ultra-high net worth clients, helping to manage the rollout of JP Morgan’s advisory products focusing on asset strategy and financial management. Over the course of several years at JPM in New York, he held various client facing roles at the firm from the client advisory desk, to a banker, and then institutional sales where he was part of a team that focused on a portfolio of Private Equity, Hedge Fund, and Broker Dealer relationships. In 2005-2006, Mr. Angara, worked with the SPV’s in the distressed asset and non-performing loan market in the Philippines where he actively sourced distressed asset and non-performing loan scenarios for hedge fund and private equity investors globally. He has managed acquisition situations in Asia including origination, initial due diligence, and valuations. He was an Investment Adviser and previously held the FINRA Series 24, 55, 63, 65, 7, 8, 9, and 10 licenses. Mr. Angara most recently was responsible for global transaction flow, business expansion and advisory with a special focus on ASEAN countries for BHP International Markets, a Bahamas based fund managing family office and institutional client funds. He attended the University of the Philippines at Diliman and is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Economics.
