Justin Kenna is the Chief Executive Officer of GameSquare Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded international esports and gaming company, where he’s building a leading organization capitalizing on the growing convergence of gaming and pop culture. In his role as CEO, Kenna leads the strategic direction of the GameSquare business, which seeks to integrate global brands within gaming communities through the company’s portfolio of media agencies, SaaS platforms, esports organizations, and content studio.
Justin Kenna is a seasoned gaming and finance executive with a proven track record growing highly successful organizations. Throughout his career, Kenna has amassed considerable experience across esports, digital media, and marketing in the United States and Australia with a particular expertise in finance, strategy, and operations. His efforts have positioned him as an influential and well-regarded figure at the intersection of gaming, sports, and entertainment.
Kenna’s career trajectory has followed a relentless pursuit of short-term goals. Prior to joining GameSquare, Kenna’s financial prowess landed him at the epicenter of the fast-paced, high-growth gaming industry as CFO of FaZe Clan. During his time at the organization, Kenna not only leveraged his financial know-how to communicate the value of the nascent esport industry to Wall Street, but also drove new revenue opportunities to directly support the growth and development of the world’s first $1 billion esports brand. Previously, the Australian executive held various financial analyst roles and accounting jobs at “Big Four” firms. He was Director of Finance at Madison+Vine, a next-gen creative marketing studio, and worked at Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Optimist Inc., and more over the past 17 years.
Under Kenna’s stewardship, GameSquare has worked with 150+ global brands, including Lenovo, Jack-in-the-Box, and many more. GameSquare’s subsidiaries have developed global gaming campaigns for Kraft-Heinz, Tyson, and MiO, signed agency of record deals with the Dallas Cowboys, and established partnerships with major sports leagues, including the NFL. Meanwhile, GameSquare’s Complexity has worked with a number of influential brands on campaigns to improve inclusivity and amplify underrepresented voices in the historically male-dominated gaming space, including partnerships with Denny’s, JBL, and Miller Lite.
A testament to Kenna’s leadership and his experienced executive team with 20+ years of gaming equity, GameSquare has attracted a well-regarded portfolio of investors and board members, including owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones and Netflix’s President of Worldwide Advertising, Jeremi Gorman. Kenna’s business prowess saw the company go Nasdaq-listed in Q2 2023
