Abhi Mathews is a director at RSM in the Valuations team. Prior to that, Mr. Mathews spent the last 11 years working at several valuation firms, investment banks, and advisory firms. In this span, he has assisted in raising or advising on over $400 million in capital for public and private companies. Mr. Mathews has prepared expert valuation reports for companies in both Canada / US and qualified as an expert in arbitration matters. He also assisted the Ontario courts in other alternate dispute resolution matters as it relates to family law, shareholder disputes and fraud matters.

Mr. Mathews has several years of experience in business valuations, corporate finance, litigations support and advisory services. Throughout his career, valuations and advisory services have been completed for going public transactions, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, estate tax planning, family law, management buy-outs, shareholder transactions, fairness opinions, divestitures, employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), and breach of contract. 

Mr. Mathews is a Chartered Business Valuator (2013) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (2014). He is completing his designation to become a Senior Appraiser - Business Valuations with the American Society of Appraisers ("ASA"). He graduated from the University of Waterloo in Accounting & Financial Management, with a minor in Economics. Mr. Mathews currently sits as a member of the educational working body of the CFA Institute and as an advisor for a couple of small businesses.
