A Naval Academy graduate and US Navy veteran, McFeely served aboard the aircraft carrier Eisenhower (CVN 69) in the Persian Gulf during operation Desert Thunder.
Following his military service, McFeely founded MT Newswires in 1999. He was also founder of Pearl Investments, a proprietary statistical arbitrage trading firm based in Portland, Maine. He was also co-founder and managing partner of the Washington, DC based hedge fund Brochet Capital Partners, LP.
His expert commentary on after-hours trading and electronic equities markets has appeared in other business media, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Newsweek, Investor’s Business Daily, Business Week, Barron's, Reuters, CNBC and BNN television.
