The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) and Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) are sporting triple-digit midday losses, after President Trump threatened to impose an additional 10% tariff on countries aligned with the Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) policies. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) is also lower, as Tesla (TSLA) continues its fall. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick noted investors should expect severaltrade announcements in the next 48 hours, after clarifying tariffs will take effect on Aug. 1.

Symbotic Inc(Nasdaq: SYM) stock is getting bombarded in the options pits today, with 19,000 puts traded so far -- 18 times the intraday average volume -- compared to just 2,209 calls. Most active is the August 37.50 put, where new positions are being bought to open. SYM was last seen down 2% to trade at $46.94, on track to snap its seven-day win streak after nabbing a 2025 high in the previous session, as well as a 13.5% gain. Over the last three months, Symbotic stock added a whopping 151.8%.

Ridesharing stock Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE: UBER) is one of the best names on the SPX today, up 3.2% to trade at $96.60 at last check, after earlier hitting a fresh record high of $96.97. Today's surge follows a price-target hike from Wells Fargo to $120 from $100. The security already sports a healthy 60.7% year-to-date lead, as it bounces off support from the $90-$92 level.

Lululemon Athletica Inc (Nasdaq: LULU) stock is near the bottom of the SPX, down3.2% to trade at $239.74 at last glance. Shares are down 37.4% so far in 2025, as they pace for their first loss in seven sessions. LULU has struggled to conquer the $260 region since its June post-earnings bear gap, and is today failing at its descending 20-day moving average.
