No Deal On The Debt Ceiling Will Have Disastrous Consequences

Pressure is mounting - again - on the US Congress to come to an agreement on raising the debt ceiling. 

Debt ceiling deals always happen, eventually. But this time, a split Congress and politicians willing to go to any extreme to score political points pose an added layer of risk.

With the risk of a deeper recession and a potential technical default looming, ING's Padhraic Garvey says it's time for the US Congress to act - and the sooner, the better.
