Boeing Deal Boosts Dow, S&P 500 To Record Highs

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) is up triple digits, earlier hitting a record high thanks to a rare Boeing (BA) boost. Uzbekistan's $8 billion deal with the Aerospace name garnered praise from U.S. President Donald Trump. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) earlier tapped a fourth-consecutive record peak, but has since pulled back into the red alongside the Nasdaq Composite (IXIC), while the small-cap Russell 2000 Index (RUT) reached an all-time high as well.

Oil and gas giant Transocean Ltd (Nasdaq: RIG) is seeing an influx in activity in the options pits today. Last seen up 8.4% to trade at $3.67, the equity is continuing its climb off its early-April lows. So far, 63,000 calls and 3,654 puts have crossed the tape, 10 times the overall average daily volume. Most popular is the October 3.50 call, with the weekly 2.20 3.50-strike call sitting just behind. Today's pop has put the shares back on track to recapture the year-to-date breakeven mark.

One of the best stocks on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today is BigBear.ai Holdings Inc (NYSE: BBAI), last seen up 15% at $8.15, though the catalyst remains unclear. The AI sector has been a rabid outperformer of late, with BBAI eyeing its ninth-straight daily win and an impressive 82% year-to-date gain, the shares pushing above the $8 mark for the first time since late July.

Appliances name Solo Brands Inc (NYSE: SBDS) is one of the worst stocks on the NYSE, last seen off 8% at $13.45, continuing lower after a rejection at the overhead $20 level and 200-day moving average. Today's downward move seems unprompted, but is putting the equity on track for its third daily loss.
