We're still looking for US interest rate cuts from September. The Federal Reserve doesn't want to cause a recession if it can help it and if the data allows it to start making monetary policy less restrictive, they'll likely take that opportunity. But, as ING's James Knightley explains, they need to see progress on inflation, the labour market, and consumer spending.
