This Is The New Emerging Market Economy

If you were around for my live session here at TheoTrade on Thursday, you heard me discuss how the U.S. has grown to account for nearly 65% of the value of the global stock market.

Emerging and international markets have been left behind in the dust, and with the U.S. dollar reasserting its dominance as the world reserve currency, prospects for investing abroad are still looking dim.

The big question now is whether this is a major contrarian signal to start looking abroad for opportunities. But if not, perhaps we need to re-engineer the way we think about markets to discover the new economic frontier.

Here’s what I mean…

The New Economic Era Goes Deeper Than You Think

Many of you have been asking me for updates on the Trinity Trade. Rest assured that I haven’t forgotten about you, and in just a couple short weeks, I’ll have a major update heading your way.

We know that markets don’t operate based on facts, logic, or reason, nor do they operate so much in the present. On the contrary, markets move based on greed, fear, hopes, dreams, and changing expectations about the future.

So here’s the trillion-dollar question: What is the future worth, and how do we know when it’s arrived? This is a true philosophical question that I won’t have anywhere near enough space to answer in this article - but it’s something I need you to think about as a trader and investor.

Once upon a time, the “New World”, or the Americas, were the big emerging markets. Then within the Americas, it was the Wild West. In more modern times, various parts of Asia, South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe were considered emerging markets.

But what if we’re not thinking about where the next emerging market lies in the right way? In this age of information increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence, it’s so important that we maintain our humanity and think outside the box.

I still think humans have greater creative capacity than computers and artificial intelligence. And if we want to maintain an edge in markets, it’s absolutely critical that we leverage the tools that computers cannot yet replicate to our advantage - because without this edge - we won’t be able to compete.

I look forward to sharing this deeper dimension of the Trinity Trade with you shortly.
