Apple's (AAPL) Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) kicks off today at 1 p.m. ET with an opening keynote unveiling new gadgets and software updates. The rumor mill suggests Apple will unveil redesigned MacBook Pros built with Apple's M1 chip (likely a 16" version and maybe a 14" version, too), new AirPods (the competition in that space has heated up over the past year), and new features in iPad OS (for iPads designed with Apple's proprietary M1 chips). The biggest updates may center around iMessage, as reports suggest Apple is looking to compete with WhatsApp and turn its messaging app into more of a "social platform." Expect Apple to also talk about security and its ongoing legal battle with Epic Games.

You can watch the opening keynote on apple.com or on an Apple TV, and you can follow along with all the updates on our blog, which will update throughout the day
