Founded in 1967 and is based in Nashville, Tennessee, AllianceBernstein Holding L.P. (AB) is a publicly owned investment manager.

AllianceBernstein provides investment management services to institutional (41% of assets under management), retail (41%), and private (18%) clients through products that include mutual funds, hedge funds, and separately managed accounts.

At the end of April 2025, the company had $781 billion in managed assets.

Three key data points gauge AllianceBernstein or any dividend-paying entity, namely:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those keys also show if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

AB Price

AllianceBernstein’s share price rose about 19% over the past year from $33.55 to $39.95 as of Friday’s closing price.

AB Dividends

AllianceBernstein has paid variable quarterly dividends since February 2000. The current forward looking annual dividend of $3.20 yields 8.01% per Friday’s $39.95  closing price.

AB Returns

Putting it all together, a $6.25 estimated gross gain per share shows up when adding AllianceBernstein’s annual $3.20 dividend to an estimated $3.05 analyst estimated annual price gain, totaling that $6.25 gross gain.

A little under $1000 invested at the recent $39.95 price would buy 33 shares which, multiplies the $6.25 gross gain to $206.25.

Furthermore almost 20% of that $206 gain comes from the $80.10 in dividends generated from a $1,000 investment, and the $80.10 amounts to over two times the recent $39.95 single-share price.

(A dividend dogcatcher rule is to never buy a stock that pays an annual dividend from $1000 invested that is lower than the cost of a single share.)

Therefore, you may choose to pounce on AllianceBernstein and its 8.01% dividend yield along with its 25 year dividend record.

The exact track of AB future prices and dividends will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
