Stock Report: AudioCodes Ltd (AUDC)

Audio Codes Ltd, known by the ticker symbol AUDC is a Small-cap Communication Equipment firm, operating in the technology business sector. This is my first-ever report on AUDC for this Viital portfolio, or any of my of my previous 6 portfolios.

AudioCodes Ltd develops and sells advanced and converged voice over IP and data networking solutions, products and applications to service providers and channels, OEMs, network equipment providers and system integrators.

Its products include IP phones, session border controllers, voice applications, multi-service business routers, digital and analog media gateways, among others.

The company generates revenues from the sale of products through a direct sales force and sales representatives. Its geographic segments are Israel, Americas, Europe, and the Far East. It derives a majority of the revenues from Americas segment.

AudioCodes Ltd. was incorporated in 1992 and is headquartered in Lod, Israel.

Three key data points gauge any dividend equity or fund such as Audio Codes Ltd (AUDC).

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three basic keys best tell whether any company has made, is making, and will make money.

AUDC Price

AudioCode’s price per share was $21.00 as of yesterday's market close. One year ago its price was $33.54. Therefore, AUDC’s share price fell $12.54 or about 37% in the past year.

If AUDC’s stock trades in the range of $15.00 to $30.00 this next year, its recent $21.00 share price might rise by $6.00 to reach $27.00 by June 17, 2023. My $6.00 upside estimate is $0.40 under the median of target estimates from five analysts covering  AUDC for brokerages.

AUDC Dividends

AudioCode’s most recently declared semi-annual dividend of $0.18  was paid March 1, 2022 to shareholders on record as of February 14th.

AUDC initiated their first annual dividend of $0.20 as of August 20, 2018. The A dividend has varied  from $0.20 as of 2018 and 2020, to The $0.36 payout anticipated for 2022. That  annual payout is calculated to deliver a 1.71% annual yield per yesterday’s $21.00 share price.

AUDC Returns

Adding the $0.36 AUDC annual dividend to my estimated one-year price upside estimate of $6.00 shows a $6.36 potential gross gain, per share, to be reduced by any costs to trade AUDC shares.

At yesterday's $21.00 closing price per share, a little over $1000 would buy 48 shares.

A $10 broker fee (if charged) would be paid half at purchase and half at sale and might cost us about $0.21 per share.

Subtract that maybe $0.21 brokerage cost from my estimated $6.36 gross gain estimate per share results in a net gain of $6.15 X 48 shares = $295.20 for a 29.5% net gain including a 1.71% forward looking dividend yield.

So it is that Audio Codes Ltd shows a possible 29.5% net gain including a 1.71% forward-looking dividend yield.

Over the next year at this time our $1000 investment in Audio Codes Ltd shares could generate $17.10 in cash dividends. Of course, a single share of AUDC stock bought at yesterday's $21.00 price is $3.90 more than the dividend income from our $1000.00 investment.

So, by my dogcatcher ideal, this no time to pick up AUDC shares based on their forward looking dividends for the year 2022. The forthcoming annual dividend from $1K invested is $3.90 less than yesterday's single share price. Consider yourself alerted. It's a sign. Wait for AUDC shares to fall to $18.99 before you buy them.

All of the estimates above are speculation based on the past history of Audio Codes Ltd (AUDC). Only time and money invested in this stock will determine its market value.
