S&P 500 Snapshot: Down 1.9% From Last Friday

The S&P 500 is down 1.94% from a week ago when we last updated this piece. The index spent four out of five days with losses and ended the week down 1.03% from Thursday. It is 1.94% below its record close and is up 23% YTD.

The U.S. Treasury puts the closing yield on the 10-year note as of December 17 at 1.41% which is above its record low (0.52% on 8/4/2020). The 2-year note is at 0.66%.
