QIWI PLC, known by the ticker symbol QIWI,  is a small-cap financial technology service, operating in the technology business sector. This is my second report on WU for this Viital portfolio. I last discussed QIWI on January 5th

QIWI PLC is engaged in operating electronic online payment systems in Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Belarus, Romania, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries.

It also provides consumer and small and medium enterprises (SME) financial services. The company's segments include Payment Services; Consumer Financial Services; Rocketbank; and Corporate and Other. It generates maximum revenue from the Payment Services segment.

Qiwi plc was incorporated in 2007 and is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Three key data points gauge any dividend equity or fund such as QIWI PLC (QIWI):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three basic keys best tell whether any company has made, is making, and will make money.

QIWI Price

QIWI's price per share was $7.78 as of yesterday's market close. One year ago its price was $11.85. Therefore QIWIs share price fell $4.07 or 34.3% in the past year.

If QIWI's stock trades in the range of $6.00 to $10.00 this next year, its recent $7.78 share price might rise by $0.22 to reach $8.00 by February 17, 2023. This estimate is  $4.55 below the median of one year price targets from five analysts tracking QIWI for their brokerage houses.

QIWI Dividends

QIWI's most recent quarterly dividend of $0.30 was paid December 14th, to shareholders on record as of December  3rd.  The QIWI  Annual estimated dividend payout per share of $1.20 yields 15.42% per yesterday's $7.78. closing price.

QIWI paid variable quarterly dividend payouts generally increasing annually since May, 2014, but paid no dividends in 2018. The new stretch will mark 4 years next month.

QIWI Returns

Adding the $1.20 annual QIWI forward-looking dividend to its estimated one-year price upside of $0.22 shows a $1.42 potential gross gain, per share, to be reduced by any costs to trade QIWI shares.

At yesterday's $7.78 price per share, a little over $1000 would buy 129 shares.

A $10 broker fee (if charged) would be paid half at purchase and half at sale and might cost us  $0.08 per share.

Subtract that maybe $0.08 brokerage cost from my estimated $1.42 gross gain estimate per share results in a net gain of $1.34 X129 shares = $172.86 for a 17.25% net gain on a $1.003.62 investment.

So it is that QIWI PLC (QIWI) shows a possible 17.25% net gain including a 15.42% forward estimated dividend yield.

Over the next year at this time our $1000 investment in QIWI PLC (QIWI) could generate $154.20 in cash dividends alone. Note that a single share of QIWI stock bought at yesterday's share price of $7.78 is nearly 20 times  the dividend income from $1000.00 invested. So, by my dogcatcher ideal, now is a good time to pickup QIWI PLC (QIWI) shares. The estimated next-year dividend from $1K invested is 19.82 times greater than the single share price of QIWI. Consider yourself alerted. Its a sign!

All of the estimates above are speculation based on the past history of QIWI PLC (QIWI). Only time and money invested in this stock will determine its market value.
