There was a time that GameStop (GME) was some pipsqueak retailer that hardly anyone cared about. Now, under circumstances that are nothing short of freakish, the entire market is getting dragged around by this brick ‘n’ mortar seller of video game software. It’s insane. Here is the stock’s entire history:

A different perspective on this can be head by way of the one-year IV Rank, which illustrates – – to no one’s surprise – – that options on this thing have gone absolutely bonkers.

Lastly, here is the “basic” IV rank, which tends to be somewhat more sensitive to short-term movements. I’d say that volatility on this beast is bound to be lower a month from now.
