FDA Expected To Grant Full Approval To Pfizer Vaccine Next Week, WSJ Says

The Food and Drug Administration is expected next week to grant full approval of Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech's (BNTX) COVID-19 vaccine, Stephanie Armour and Jared Hopkins of Wall Street Journal report, citing people familiar with the planning.

The New York Times reported earlier that the FDA is expected to grant full approval on Monday, Aug. 23. The approval could spur more vaccination requirements by employers and encourage more people who are hesitant to get vaccinated, Armour and Hopkins note.
