Diving Into Doughnuts: The Resurgence Of Krispy Kreme

As a kid, one of my favorite things in the world was a fresh Krispy Kreme tonight. How thrilled I was, some years ago, to see that the franchise has expanded into California, and I got to partake in the not-at-all-healthy-for-you goodness of a warm glazed doughnut. Krispy seemed to be fading badly from 2005 through 2010, but it has righted its ship and come roaring back, fattening us all up more deliciously than ever.

The stock traded under the symbol KKD for years, but it was taken private in 2016. It has come public again, this time with the symbol DNUT, and it has had an excellent week.
