PT United Tractors Tbk bears the ticker symbol PUTKY, and this is my first mention of PT United for this new Viking Portfolio or any of my previous seven dog of the week folios.

PT United Tractors Tbk is one of the largest distributors of heavy equipment in Indonesia.

It manufactures construction machinery and provides mining services to help customers tap natural resources. The machinery is distributed under various brands and works in mining, construction, forestry, material handling, and transportation sectors.

The company operates contact centers to deliver spare parts, mechanics support, and repair machines for customers.

United Tractors operates five business segments: (1) construction machinery, (2) mining contracting (a majority of total revenues), (3) coal mining, (4) gold mining, and (5) construction industry.

Mining services pertain to mine design, exploration, extracting, and hauling commodities. The majority of total sales are generated in Indonesia.

The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Jakarta Timur, Indonesia.

PT United Tractors Tbk is a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk.

Three key data points gauge United Tractors or any dividend-paying firm. They are:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three basic keys best tell whether any company has made, is making, and will make money.

PUTKY Price

PT United’s price per share was $38.60 at Friday’s market close. In the past year, PUTKY’s share price rose $2.68 or about 7.5%.

If PUTKY stock trades in the range of $30.00 to $45.00 this next year, its recent $38.60 share price might rise to $42.00 by next year. My upside estimate of $3.40 is based on about half the average upside of the past three years.

PUTKY Dividend

PT United’s most recent semi-annual annual dividend of $1.05 casts an annual yield of 5.44%.

PUTKY Returns

Taking the $2.10 annual estimated

PT United dividend and adding the $3.40estimated price downside, reveals a $5.50 potential gross gain per share.

At Friday’s $38.60 closing price,a little over $1000 would buy 26 shares.

A $10 broker fee (if charged), paid half at purchase and half at sale, might cost us about $0.38 per share.

Subtract that maybe $0.38 brokerage cost from my estimated $5.50 gross price upside estimate makes a net amount of $5.12 X 26 shares = $133.38 or a 13.3% net amount.

In the next year our $1K investment in shares of PUTKY might generate $54.40 in cash dividends. Furthermore, a single share of PUTKY at Friday’s $38.60 price is near $16less than the $54.40 estimated annual dividend income from a $1000.00 investment.

So, by my dogcatcher ideal, this is a proper time to consider PT United shares, based on their dividends for 2023. The dividend form $1k invested is $15.80 greater than the single share price. Consider yourself alerted.

All of the estimates above are speculation based on the past history of investment in shares of PT United Tractors Tbk. Only time and money invested in this stock will determine its future market value.
