Kimball International Inc is known by the trading ticker symbol, KBAL. It is listed in the Industrials sector as a  Furniture, Fourth report on Kimball International Inc for my Vista stock Portfolio most recently I discussed this company June 17th.

Kimball International Inc operates in the furniture manufacturing business. The company consolidated its furniture business and manufactures office and hospitality furniture exclusively.

The company's core market areas include commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, government, and finance. The firm's furniture brand portfolio comprises Kimball, National, and Kimball Hospitality.

It markets and sells its products through sales representatives, office furniture dealers, wholesalers, brokers, designers, purchasing companies, and catalog houses to end-users.

The company was formerly known as The Jasper Corporation and changed its name to Kimball International, Inc. in July 1974.

Kimball International, Inc. was incorporated in 1939 and is headquartered in Jasper, Indiana.

Three key data points gauge dividend equities or funds like Kimball International Inc:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three basic keys best tell whether any company has made, is making, and will make money.

KBAL Price

Kimball International's price per share was $12.33 as of yesterday's market close. One year ago its price was $11.81. So KBAL's share price has increased 4.4% in the past year.

If Kimball International stock trades in the range of $10.00 to $18.00 this next year, its recent $12.33 price might rise by $3.67 to reach $16.00 by August 17, 2022. My estimate is $1.50 under the median of two target estimates for single brokerage analysts.

KBAL Dividends

Kimball's most recent regular quarterly dividend payout of  $0.09  was paid July 15. The annual payout of $0.36 yields 3.92% based on yesterday's $12.33 closing price. KBAL has paid quarterly dividends for 6 years increasing annually.

KBAL Returns

Adding the $0.36 annual KBAL forward-looking dividend to my $3.67 price upside estimate shows a $4.03 potential gross gain, per share, to be reduced by any costs to trade KBAL shares.

At yesterday's $12.33 price per share, a little under $1000 would buy 81 shares.

A $10 broker fee (if charged) would be paid half at purchase and half at a sale and might cost us about $0.12 per share.

Subtract that maybe $0.12 brokerage cost from my estimated $4.03 gross gain per share results in a net gain of $3.91 X 81 shares = $316.71 for a 31.67% net gain on a $998.73 investment.

So it is that Kimball International Inc shows a possible 31.67% net gain including a 2.92% forward estimated dividend yield.

Over the next year at this time a $1000 investment in Kimball International Inc could generate $29.20 in cash dividends alone. And a single share bought at yesterday's closing price was $12.33! Thus, KBAL share price is now about 42% of the dividend income from $1K invested. So, according to my dividend dogcatcher ideal, this is a good time to pick up Kimball International shares because the dividend from $1k invested exceeds the single share price by a little over two times. Consider yourself alerted.

All of the estimates above are speculation based on the past history of Kimball International Inc. Only time and money invested in this stock will determine its market value.
