Daily Stock Analysis: ABM Industries

Today we look at a mid-cap specialty business services company named ABM Industries Inc. Its trading ticker symbol is ABM. This is my first report on ABM Industries Inc for this portfolio.

ABM Industries is a provider of integrated facility solutions. It offers its solutions through five segments: business and industry, aviation, technology and manufacturing, education, and technical solutions.

The company derives the majority of its revenue from the business and industry segment, which encompasses janitorial, facilities engineering, and parking services for commercial real estate properties and sports and entertainment venues, as well as vehicle maintenance and other services to rental car providers.

The company mainly operates in the United States of America.

The company was founded in 1909 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

I use three key data points to gauge dividend equities or funds like ABM Industries Inc:

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three basic keys best tell whether a company has made, is making, and will make money.

ABM Price

ABM's price per share closed at $41.00 yesterday. A year ago its price was $38.54. Price per share rose $2.46 or about 6.4% this past year.

If ABM's stock trades in the range of $20 to $50 this next year, its recent $41.00 price might rise by $6.00 to reach $47.00 by February 9, 2022.

ABM Dividends

ABM Industries Inc's most recently declared quarterly dividend was $0.19 paid on February 1st. Dividends are estimated to total $0.76 per share annually and yield 1.85% at yesterday's $41.00 closing price.

ABM Gains?

Adding the $0.76 annual ABM anticipated dividend to my $6.00 most optimistic price upside shows a $6.76 potential gross gain, per share, to be reduced by any costs to trade the shares.

Put little under $1,000.00 today in ABM Industries Inc at $41.00 per share and we'd buy 24 shares of ABM stock.

A $10 broker fee (if charged) paid half at purchase and half at sale might cost us about $0.42 per share.

Subtract that maybe $0.42 brokerage cost from my estimated  $6.76 gross gain per share results in a net gain of $6.34 X 24 shares = $152.16 for a 15.22% net gain on a $984.00 investment.

ABM Industries Inc shows a possible 15.22% net gain including a 1.85% dividend yield. It could be more, it could be less.

All of the estimates above are speculation based on the past history of ABM Industries Inc. Only time and money invested in this stock will determine its worth.
