Coca-Cola (KO) closed at $63.10 in the latest trading session, marking a +1.01% move from the prior day. This move outpaced the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.97%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.42%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.49%.

Heading into today, shares of the world's largest beverage maker had gained 6.5% over the past month, outpacing the Consumer Staples sector's gain of 1.1% and the S&P 500's gain of 4.71% in that time.

On that day, Coca-Cola is projected to report earnings of $0.57 per share, which would represent year-over-year growth of 3.64%. Meanwhile, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenue is projecting net sales of $9.97 billion, up 10.58% from the year-ago period.

KO's full-year Zacks Consensus Estimates are calling for earnings of $2.45 per share and revenue of $41.99 billion. These results would represent year-over-year changes of +5.6% and +8.63%, respectively.
