Apple (AAPL) is set to introduce “Apple Intelligence,” an opt-in AI service, at WWDC next week. This service (which will be integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 15, and macOS 15) will require newer Apple devices with specific hardware capabilities. The update includes AI-driven enhancements across various applications such as Apple Maps, Apple Music, and the Notes app, offering features like auto-generated playlists, AI-generated news summaries, and a revamped Calculator app. Additionally, it promises significant updates to CarPlay and system apps, improving accessibility and automating tasks.

As I have been saying for months, we’re really not going to know anything about the future of consumer AI until WWDC and the release of iOS 18. This all looks good. Let’s see how much is actually introduced.
