AMD Stock Card

The company has delivered mostly positive earnings surprises recently. AMD missed analyst estimates only twice in the previous nine quarters.

AMD stock has jumped 112% in 2025. The gains come from strength in the data center business and expansion in key markets.

The company recently signed deals with OpenAI and Oracle. These partnerships show demand for AMD chips from major AI companies.

Susquehanna analyst Christopher Rolland raised his price target on AMD to $300 from $210. He maintained his Buy rating on the stock.

Rolland expects slightly better results driven by stronger demand in data center and PC units. He said production of the MI350 data center chips should increase sharply in the second half of the year.

Analyst Targets Point Higher

Rosenblatt Securities analyst Kevin Cassidy kept his Buy rating and $250 price target. Cassidy predicts a “modest beat-and-raise quarter” for AMD.

The analyst pointed to stronger demand for PC and server chips. He also expects continued market share gains in both segments.

Wedbush analyst Dan Ives maintained an Outperform rating on the stock. Ives highlighted rising adoption of AMD’s MI300 chips among major cloud and enterprise customers.

TipRanks‘ AI Analyst raised the price target to $295 from $261. The AI maintained an Outperform rating based on strong financial performance and positive technical signals.

Options Market Signals Volatility

Options traders are positioning for a large move after earnings. The expected earnings move sits at 9.12% in either direction.

This figure comes from calculating the at-the-money straddle of options closest to expiration after the announcement. The positioning suggests traders expect volatility.

Wall Street currently has a Moderate Buy consensus rating on AMD. The rating is based on 29 Buy recommendations and 10 Hold recommendations.

The average price target stands at $252.42. This represents a potential downside of 1.44% from current levels.

AMD stock closed at $255.84 on Friday. The company has benefited from growing demand for AI processors throughout 2025.
