Sensex Today Trades Higher; Asian Paints & Infosys Top Gainers
Asian markets traded mostly higher on Monday.
US stock market ended mixed on Friday, weighed down by concerns about the economy and sky-high valuations in the technology sector.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 203 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 69 points higher.
Asian Paints, Infosys, and HCL Tech are among the top gainers today.
Trent, Power Grid Corp, and SBI, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.3% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.1% lower.
Sectoral indices are negative today, with stocks in the media sector and the telecommunications sector witnessing selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 88.7 against the US dollar.
Kalyan Jewellers Q2 Results
Shares of Kalyan Jewellers came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.
With a healthy 16% SSSG, its operating revenue for the reporting quarter was Rs 78.6 bn, up 8% from the previous quarter and 30% from Rs 60.5 bn.
The company reported a strong September quarter performance in terms of foot traffic and revenue across all its markets in India and the Middle East in an exchange filing.
Despite record-high prices, consumers still preferred gold, according to the company, which reported a 38% increase in new customers during the quarter.
Operating margins increased by 100 basis points year over year to 6.3% but decreased by 70 basis points sequentially.
The company's EBITDA for the same period last year was Rs 4.9 bn, a 56% increase from Rs 3.2 bn.
In Q2, the company reported a net profit of Rs 2.6 bn, which was 99% higher than the Rs 1.3 bn it reported in the same period the previous year. On a sequential basis, though, the profit was marginally less than the Rs 2.6 bn recorded in the first quarter of FY26.
Trent Q2 Results
Shares of Trent came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.
During the September quarter, its consolidated revenue from operations increased 15.9% to Rs 48.2 bn. It also stated that it was Rs 41.5 bn during the same period last year.
In the September quarter, Trent's total expenses climbed 16.7% to Rs 43.6 bn.
In the September quarter, the total consolidated income, which includes other income, increased 15.3% to Rs 48.4 bn.
For the second quarter that ended in September 2025, Trent reported a consolidated net profit increase of 11.4% to Rs 3.7 bn.

HAL Inks Mega Jet Engine Deal
To acquire 113 jet engines for its Tejas light combat aircraft program, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) and American defence giant GE Aerospace signed a significant agreement on Friday.
Despite a decline in India-US relations following the Trump administration's imposition of a 50% tariff on Indian goods, the agreement was strengthened.
According to the agreement, the F404-GE-IN20 engines will be delivered starting in 2027, and the supplies must be finished by 2032.
According to reports, the deal is worth nearly Rs 88.7 bn. The HAL announced that it has signed a contract with General Electric Company to purchase the engines and support package needed to carry out the 97 Light Combat Aircraft Mk1A program.
