Nifty Below 25,900; Sensex Today Trades Lower

Asian markets traded mostly higher on Thursday, following a mixed trend on Wall Street overnight.

US stock market ended mixed on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones notching a record-high close and the Nasdaq losing ground.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 109 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 40 points lower.

Asian Paints, Tata Steel, and Bajaj Finance are among the top gainers today.

Infosys, Kotak Mahindra, and ITC, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.2% higher.

Barring the power sector and the FMCG sector, all other sectoral indices are positive today, with stocks in the IT sector and the telecommunication sector witnessing buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 88.7 against the US dollar.
 

Tata Power Q2 Results

Shares of Tata Power came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

The steel manufacturer's total revenue from operations increased 8.9% year over year to Rs 586.8 billion (bn) during the reviewed quarter, from Rs 539 bn during the second quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q2FY25).

Despite a decline in realisations, its revenue climbed by 10% sequentially from Rs 531 bn in the previous quarter, mostly due to increased deliveries in the Netherlands and India.

With an EBITDA of Rs 86.5 bn and a margin of 25%, its revenue from the Indian market was Rs 347 bn.

Due to an increase in domestic deliveries, its crude steel production increased 8% QoQ to 5.65 million tonnes, while deliveries increased 17% QoQ to 5.55 million tonnes.

Tata Steel reported a nearly four-fold year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to Rs 31 bn for the September quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q2FY26).

IRCTC Q2 Results

Shares of IRCTC came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

According to the company's consolidated statements, revenue from core operations increased by almost 36% to Rs 14.4 bn in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-2026 from Rs 10.6 bn in the same period the previous year.

According to the filing data, the company's catering, Railneer (water), Internet ticketing, and tourism segments saw the biggest increases in sales, which in turn drove the revenue growth.

The board of directors of IRCTC also declared that all eligible stock market investors would receive an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share.

The public issue's Record Date has been set by the company for Friday, 21 November 2025.

The company recorded a 13% rise in its net profit to Rs 3.4 bn, compared year-on-year (YoY) with Rs 3.1 bn in the same period a year ago, according to the consolidated financial statements.
 

Nazara Technologies Q2 Results

Shares of Nazara Technologies came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

Nazara's operating revenue increased 5.5% sequentially from Rs 498.77 crore to Rs 5.3 bn, up 65% year over year from Rs 3.18 bn in Q2FY25.

Additionally, the company's other income saw a remarkable 40-fold increase, rising from just Rs 0.25 bn to Rs 11 bn. Following the revaluation of its investment in Nodwin, which resulted in a gain of Rs 10.9 bn, Nazara stopped controlling Nodwin Gaming and it became an associate entity.With only a slight 2.5% increase over the prior quarter, total expenses increased 66.3% to Rs 5.3 bn from Rs 3.2 bn in Q2FY25.

Nazara Technologies reported a Rs 0.3 bn consolidated net loss in the second quarter of FY26 (Q2FY26), compared with a net profit of Rs 0.23 bn a year earlier.
