IndiGo Announces Europe Debut
IndiGo has announced the introduction of non-stop flights to Manchester and Amsterdam, marking its entry into the European market. The service to Manchester will be the only direct route from India to the North of the UK, enhancing connectivity between the two regions.
The airline stated that these additions will further strengthen its expanding international network, facilitating seamless travel between India and Europe. This development aligns with IndiGo's long-term objective of establishing itself as a global airline by 2030. Over the past two years, the carrier has been increasing its presence in Europe through codeshare agreements, connecting multiple European cities to India.
In March 2025, IndiGo inducted a Boeing 787-9 under a damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways. The agreement was recently expanded to include three additional aircraft, which are expected to join the fleet in the second half of the year.
Infosys to Implement System Intervention
Infosys has directed its technology team to adhere to its work-from-office requirement of at least 10 days per month, reinforcing efforts to bring more employees back to campus. According to reports, senior leaders have instructed teams to limit work-from-home requests, aligning with the company's hybrid work model.
The mandate reportedly applies to employees at Job Level 5 (JL5) and below, covering roles such as team leaders, software engineers, senior engineers, system engineers, and consultants. Meanwhile, employees at Job Level 6 (JL6), including managers, senior managers, and delivery managers, are not covered under this directive, except for vice presidents.
Infosys employees use a mobile app for attendance tracking, which will now require a minimum of 10 days of in-office presence per month. Work-from-home requests will no longer be auto-approved, and failure to meet the requirement by even a day or two will result in deductions from an employee's leave balance.
Earlier in 2024, TCS, a key competitor, linked its quarterly variable pay to office attendance, making employees with less than 60% attendance ineligible for bonuses.

The commercial rollout in the US will follow completion of development and clinical trials. Notably, the agreement does not involve any technology transfer.
