Asian markets traded higher on Wednesday, following an overnight rally on Wall Street on rising US Fed rate cut bets.

The US stock market ended higher on Tuesday, amid rising expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 4111 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 134 points higher.

TMPV, Adani Ports, and Tata Steel are among the top gainers today.

Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, is among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.7% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.8% higher.

Barring media and telecommunication, all other sectoral indices are trading negatively today, with stocks in the metal sector and the services sector witnessing selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 88.6 against the US dollar.
 

NCC Secures Major Infrastructure Project Now

Shares of NCC, one of India's largest and most diversified construction companies-are expected to be in focus during Wednesday's trade on November 26, following a major order win.

In a post-market exchange filing, NCC announced that it has secured a Rs 20.6 bn contract from the Public Works (Health & Education) Department, Assam, for the expansion and modernization of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital.

The Company has received a Letter of Acceptance dated 21 November 2025 from the Public Works (Health & Education) Department, Assam, for the Expansion and Modernization of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, Assam, NCC said in its regulatory filing.
 

Jayant Infratech Bags Major EPC Contract

Jayant Infratech Ltd announced on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, that it has secured an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract worth Rs 1.6 bn from Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.

In its exchange filing, the company stated that it has received the Letter of Acceptance for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning for the upgradation of the existing 1x25 KV Electric Traction system to a 2x25 KV Electric Traction system across projects being executed by Konkan Railway.

The contract is scheduled for completion by 23 January 2027, according to the company's press release.

Founded in 2003, Jayant Infratech is a technology-led company specializing in railway electrification for both new and existing tracks, supporting reduced fossil fuel dependence and contributing to a lower carbon footprint in the rail sector.

The company noted that this contract is expected to significantly enhance its revenue and operational growth.
 

IGL Forms JV with CEID for Biofuels

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) has signed a joint venture agreement with CEID Consultants & Engineering Private Ltd to develop compressed biofuel and compressed biogas (CBG) projects, the company announced in a stock exchange filing.

The new entity will have equal ownership, with both partners holding a 50% stake.

The JV's board will initially include four directors, two appointed by IGL and two by CEID.

The venture aims to establish and operate biofuel assets as India accelerates its clean-energy expansion.

The development is in line with IGL's ongoing diversification strategy.
