Economic Events Of The Coming Week - Monday, June 12 - 16

Monday: April Machine Orders data will see light in Japan, as will May’s Producer Price Index. In Italy, April’s Industrial Production Index data will be released.

Tuesday: The Final estimate of May’s Consumer Price Index data will be released in Spain, followed by May’s CPI in the U.K., currently at 2.7% annual inflation. The U.K. will also see the release of May’s Producer Price Index data, where the weakening of the Pound have led the index to increase by 3.6% annually. In Germany, June’s ZEW Survey will see light. May’s Producer Price Index data will be released in the U.S.

Wednesday: The Final estimate of April’s Industrial Production Index data will be released in Japan. In Germany, the final estimate of May’s Consumer Price Index data will see light. Labor market data are to see light in the U.K., where Unemployment is currently at 4.6%. In the U.S., May’s Consumer Price Index data will see light, followed by May’s Retail Sales data and the Fed’s rate announcement, where a hike, the second for the year, is widely expected.

Thursday: The Final estimate of May’s CPI will see light in France and Italy. May Retail Sales data will see light in the U.K., followed by the Bank of England making a rate announcement. June Empire Manufacturing data will see light in the U.S. The weekly Initial Jobless Claims will also see light in the U.S., as will the Philadelphia Fed Business Outlook Index, and May’s Industrial Production data.

Friday: The Bank of Japan is set to issue a policy decision. The Final estimate for May’s CPI will be released for the Eurozone. May Housing Starts data will see light in the U.S. The University of Michigan will release its preliminary estimate for June’s Consumer Sentiment Index data.
