DiDi Achieves GTV Of CNY101.6 Billion In Q1, Adjusted Net Profit Of CNY2.9 Billion

On June 5, DiDi Global, the Chinese mobile transportation technology platform, released its Q1 2025 earnings report, showing steady growth in both domestic and international businesses. In Q1 2025, DiDi Global achieved a net profit of CNY2.4 billion, with an adjusted net profit of CNY2.9 billion.

The core platform, including both Chinese and international businesses, saw a 13.4% year-on-year growth in total orders, reaching 4.25 billion orders. Of these, the Chinese ride-hailing business saw 3.26 billion orders, up 10.3% year-on-year, while the international business handled 989 million orders, up 24.9% year-on-year.

In Q1, DiDi Global's core platform total Gross Transaction Value (GTV) reached CNY101.6 billion, with the Chinese ride-hailing business contributing CNY78 billion, a 9.3% increase, and international business contributing CNY23.6 billion, a 27.9% increase.

DiDi Global has made significant progress in its international business. Since 2015, DiDi Global has invested in companies such as Lyft in North America, Ola in India, Grab in Southeast Asia, and Bolt (formerly Taxify) in Europe, forming partnerships with these companies. In 2018, DiDi Global established the International Business Division and acquired Brazil’s largest ride-hailing company, 99.

Thanks to effective investments and efficient operations in markets like Brazil and Mexico, DiDi Global’s international business GTV has maintained a high growth rate of over 25% for several consecutive quarters, with its scale continuously expanding. Currently, DiDi Global’s international business covers 14 countries across Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, focusing on ride-hailing services while also exploring delivery, financial services, and more.

Additionally, with the recent surge in cross-border travel among domestic users, DiDi Global's app now offers overseas taxi services in over 1,200 cities across nine countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. To meet the long-distance, multi-trip car hire needs of domestic users, DiDi Global has recently launched its overseas charter services, covering 26 popular cities in 11 countries, including Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Seoul, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Sydney.

Founded in 2013, DiDi Global went public on the New York Stock Exchange on June 30, 2021. It is a mobile transportation technology platform offering a range of services, including ride hailing, taxi hailing, chauffeuring, and other forms of shared mobility, as well as certain energy and vehicle services, food delivery, intra-city freight, and financial services in markets across Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
