As the trade war carries on, tensions remain with China, Trump has now raised the possibility of additional banking sanctions on Russia, and now Japan, a US ally, and the other largest holder of US treasuries along with China, has opened the door to the possibility of selling.
Which is the kind of statement that was once unheard of. But is increasingly becoming more common as the shift from Treasuries to gold continues.
