Yesterday there was a news release by Reuters suggesting that DonaldTrump and the US Treasury should find a way to default on the treasuries owned by China. Based on the view that China is responsible for the coronavirus crisis. To be clear, this seemed to be the opinion of the author, as there was no actual Trump or White House quote attached to the story. But it raises interesting questions, given everything else that's happening with the Fed, and that’s starting to be reflected in the gold (GLD) and silver (SLV) markets.
