The US Federal Reserve has been closely watching wage growth out of concern that faster-than-normal pay gains may add to inflation pressures. Chris Versace, CIO of Tematica Research tells IG’s Angeline Ong it’s the average hourly earnings print that will feed into the Fed’s thinking, surrounding the timing of its first interest rate cut.
