Weekly Gasoline Prices: Highest Since 2012

The volatility in crude oil and gasoline prices has been clearly reflected in recent years in both the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE).

As of February 14, the price of Regular and Premium were up to four each from the previous week and their highest since 2012. According to GasBuddy.com, California has the highest average price for Regular at $4.69 and Oklahoma has the cheapest at $3.13. The WTIC end-of-day spot price closed at 95.46 and is up 4.5% from last week and is at its highest levels since 2014.
