Well, yesterday was my day in the sun for XLE, and today is TNRevolution’s. Just to show what a devastating effect a YOLO-style bet can make, take danger at my virtual equity chart:
It looks like being a (fake) billionaire went to my head, and I went bat-shit crazy with XLE puts:
Yep. About $400 million blown off my virtual account! OUCH!
I haven’t given up on XLE, but I suspect these soon-to-expire puts are going to leave a brutal mark.
