Two Tech Giants Tank the Markets - And That's Not a Bad Thing

The markets have generally brushed off disappointing earnings from the big tech companies because the majority of them are still - unbelievably - beating estimates.

Long known for the technological prowess, both Alphabet (GOOG) and Microsoft (MSFT) sold off hard on Friday, tanking markets in the process.

While the story is ostensibly "bad" news, I say good!

The markets have generally brushed off disappointing earnings from the big tech companies because the majority of them are still - unbelievably - beating estimates.

Technically speaking, that means all the money that just went rushing out is going to come rushing back in.

Contrary to what most investors think, the key is neither growth potential nor pricing. Rather, it's central bankers.

As long as they remain accommodative - and boy am I coming to hate that term - there's no reason why the markets cannot head higher even if profits are dropping.

But back to Microsoft and Google, in particular.

Chaos inevitably produces opportunity and big down days are the best times to buy in.
