Trump Is Delusional

His attack on Iran will likely "awaken" sleeper cells in the United States, and give new life to "Osama bin Laden 2.0" who will seek immortality like his (or her) namesake by launching much worse than 9/11.  And yes, lots of us have never forgotten that day in history.[2]

Our military forces globally are vulnerable; and somewhere in Pakistan or elsewhere, Osama bin Laden's "clone" is plotting attacks on the United States that may make 9/11 seem "inconsequential."  Trump may have set events in motion that he is incapable of controlling, which might yield results that none of us envisioned.

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were events that shook Americans to their very core.  They were helpless except to have faith in God (or a "Higher Power") that we and our fellow Americans would survive.  As a small child growing up near the UCLA campus in Los Angeles, all I remember of that war were searchlights in the sky, scanning it for Japanese aircraft.

Americans were scared.  The only attack on our mainland occurred at Goleta, north of where the UCSB campus is located today, when a Japanese submarine shelled the oil facilities at Ellwood.[3]  Because we are not "hardened," an EMP Attack or similar assault against the United States might be devastating.[4]
