These 5 Tech Dow Stocks Have Negative Weekly Charts

The five tech stocks in the Dow 30 ended last week with negative weekly chart profiles: AAPL, CSCO, IBM, INTC, MSFT.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended last week on June 12 with a close of 17,898.84, below its 50-day simple moving average of 18,030.59, which indicates risk to its 200-day simple moving average of 17,629.81.

The weekly chart for the Dow 30 stayed negative with the index below its five-week modified moving average of 17,998.55 and with its 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading declining to 63.28 from 72.87 on June 5.

The Dow is up just 0.4% year-to-date and is 2.5% below its all-time high of 18,351.36 set on May 19. Only three Dow components have a positive weekly chart with two of these have overbought stochastics.

Note that among the Dow 30, there are 22 components with declining 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic readings, five are oversold, two are overbought and only one has rising momentum.

Apple AAPL +1.08% closed at $127.17 on Friday for a loss of 1.2% last week. The stock is below its 50-day simple moving average of $128.25 with its 200-day simple moving average a major support at $115.44.

The weekly chart is negative with the stock below its five-week modified moving average of $128.26 and with a 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading of 61.41 down from 66.13 on June 5.

My annual value level is $110.43 with quarterly and semiannual pivots at $122.21 and $126.45, respectively, and a weekly risky level of $130.79.

CSCOF

Cisco Systems CSCO -0.03% had a close of $28.54 on Friday for a loss of 0.1% last week. The stock is below its 50-day simple moving average of $28.75 with its 200-day simple moving average a major support at $27.17.

Cisco’s weekly chart is negative with the stock below its five-week modified moving average of $28.79 and with a 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading of 69.19 down from 70.40 on June 5.

My semiannual value level is $27.90 with quarterly and monthly risky levels of $29.33 and $30.56, respectively.

IBMF

IBM IBM +0.61% close at $166.99 on Friday for a loss of 0.2% last week. The stock is below its 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages of $168.73 and $167.60, respectively.

IBM’s weekly chart is negative with the stock below its five-week modified moving average of $168.20 and with a 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading of 72.12 down from 78.58 on June 5.

My quarterly value level is $144.23 with a weekly risky level of $176.41.

INTCF

Intel INTC +0.31% closed at $31.32 on Friday for a loss of 1.6% last week. The stock is below its 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages of $32.53 and $33.88, respectively.

Intel’s weekly chart is negative with the stock below its five-week modified moving average of $32.58 and with a 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading of 66.29 down from 69.75 on June 5.

My annual value level is $30.01 with a semiannual risky level of $33.16.

MSFTF

Microsoft MSFT +0.98% had a close of $45.97 on Friday for a loss of 0.4% last week. The stock is just above its 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages of $45.73 and $45.46, respectively.

The weekly chart is negative with the stock below its five-week modified moving average of $46.09 and with a 12x3x3 weekly slow stochastic reading of 69.81 down from 71.79 on June 5.

My annual value level is $36.01 with a semiannual pivot of $45.15 and quarterly risky level of $51.85.
