The Trump Divide

No one can argue against the notion that Donald Trump has "reordered" the world since he became our President once again in January.  It has been a roller-coaster ride, to say the least, punctuated by sheer brilliance, treasonous conduct, unbridled arrogance and divisiveness; take your pick.[2]

"Take no prisoners" seems to be his overriding theme, mantra or instinct.  During his first four years, he was learning about the "perversion" that is Washington.  This time around, he refuses to suffer fools lightly.  He made his money in business.  They made their money by picking the pockets of economically-struggling Americans.

Lots of us are Independents, which is the largest bloc of American voters.  Some of us have even worked at the highest levels of our government, and with individuals who are part of American history.  We have seen the good, the bad and the ugly, first hand.[3]  Naivete is not a blessing; it's a curse.

Altruism would suggest a coming together as Americans, like we did after the attacks of 9/11.[4]  Let's hope and pray that we never have to go through a repeat of those days, or anything similar to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, which began our involvement in World War II.  But the world is a very dangerous place; and Helter Skelter seems to rule much of the time.
